American Riviera

It’s Stearns Wharf’s 150th Anniversary!

A grand 150th-anniversary bash will take place on October 8th from 11 am to 7:15 pm! At 7 pm there will be a five-minute Fireworks show! Stearns Wharf’s merchants, with some added help from the Santa Barbara yacht club, will host this exciting event on and near the wharf. For more information visit the official Stearns Wharf website.

Stearns Wharf

In 1867 John Peck Stearns came with his wife Martha from New England. He purchased a lot at the ocean end of State Street for his lumberyard. In 1872, he organized a group of local businessmen to construct the wharf.
