All real estate is local in nature. Or is it? In this video, it’s not. This is an overview of the United States real estate market as of February 1, 2021 by Altos Research that specializes in real estate data.

Real estate is local, and in many cases hyper-local as the last two quarters here in the south Santa Barbara real estate market demonstrated. However, today’s clients, whether they are buyers or sellers, are getting real estate information oftentimes from national sources, such as Bloomberg Radio, CNBC, and The Wall Street Journal almost every day. As a result, your perspective on “the truth about real estate” may not be local at all. Friendly suggestion? Keep an eye on both your local and the national real estate markets. National events such as 911, the Loma Prieta earthquake, the pandemic, and other events have dramatically affected markets locally and nationally.
